Methodology
Sentiment collection
Vendor sentiment scores are computed from 180-250 verified customer mentions per vendor, collected March-September 2026. Mentions are gathered from public reviews, forums, and direct submissions; de-duplicated by user and company; and screened for vendor fingerprints (posting patterns, review timing relative to product launches, and account history).
Scoring
Each mention is scored on a 5-point scale. The mean is the sentiment score. The two most common verified gripes are surfaced alongside the score, because a number without specifics is useless.
Vendor ownership checks
For every review source we cite, we check whether the publisher sells a competing product. This is the same check 92% of sophisticated buyers now run themselves, per the 2026 Buyer Trust Report (N=412): 68% of PR teams say a vendor-run comparison blog misled a tool purchase.
